The Working

Joinery
The joinery department of SAER is in charge of the first step of the furniture manufacture. The choice of high-quality material and the accurate and precise technique ensure a complete structural stability in all its parts: body, profiles, frames and drawers.

Marquetry

Cut and design of the inlay are done with the same technique characterising the masterly skill of the artisan shops.
Polychrome woods of different essences are employed in the marquetry composition: rosewood, walnut, mahogany, walnut/ash briar, erable. Flowers and other decorative elements are sand-burned to obtain the most exquisite shades. This operation requires special care but is essential to obtain the suggestive chromatism which enhance the refined elegance and beauty of SAER furniture.

Inlay materials are selected among natural woods only, no pre-compounds.

Veneering
Floral and decorative motifs prepared by the inlayer are then applied to the piece of furniture. A careful preparation: fixing, plastering and sanding to make the piece of furniture ready for the next working phase.

Polishing
Polishing phase enables to enhance at best the job done during the former phases. After applying insulating primer, a coat of paint and a further sanding, the polishing, mat or glossy, is the final operation to give SAER furniture the brilliance and tonality that are its characteristics.

Bronzes application

This is really the last operation to complete the piece of furniture. The application of bronzes is the final touch enriching SAER piece of furniture, making it unique and elegant.

An intricate and accurate process which results in the production of artistic objects, heirlooms destined to furnish pleasant and comfortable homes.
